On April 20th, 2018, I lost my father-in-law, that my wife and I cared for inside our home. Eddie was a honorably discharged Vietnam veteran, yet lacked so many “popular resources,” like the various types of VA assistance in upstate South Carolina. Luckily, my wife works for a privately-owned hospice company, and there is no way we would have made it through this journey without Providence Care and their team. Ever since his death I have wanted to start a blog to raise awareness of the lack of VA support, and the lack of resources people have for end-of-life care. Mt category, ‘Personal Take’, will be my personal thoughts and opinions with these types of issues. I hope everyone sticks around to hear the rest of our journey with Eddie. I hope this blog helps so many to understand about end of life care, and the resources that are out there for our loved ones, and especially decorated Veterans in our country.
Thanks for joining me!
